Welcome to CoReef! This blog will serve as some kind of documentation as well as a journal while realizing an experimental hardware and software infrastructure. The resulting distributed system emits, propagates, transforms, and visualizes various data and metrics – primarily for educational purposes. There will be a little bit of smart home, some IoT, fun with software-defined radio such as receiving ADS-B flight data, general systems telemetry and other stuff. As such, it will be a very heterogeneous system by design, to show all the different tools such as fluentd, log4j, MQTT, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Apache Camel, and many more. Enjoy!
